This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use Navstar and the choices you have associated with that data.
Information Collection and Use
We don’t collect any kind of personally identifiable information.
The only data that Navstar stores are those hikes that the user explicitly chooses to save. This information is always stored in the physical device and never leaves it, it’s never stored on the cloud and it’s never synchronized with another device whether or not owned by the user. All the data associated with Navstar is stored locally for an always local use.
While using Navstar, we never ask you to provide us with personally identifiable information, so there is no personal information to protect, to share or to be worried about.
The use of the GPS receiver of your device is mandatory for the service Navstar offer you. All this data are stored anonymously as part of the saved hikes and it’s only relevant to you.
You can always enable or disable location services when you use Navstar at any time, through your device settings.
Tracking and Cookies Data
Transfer of Data
Your information, including personal data, is never transferred to (and maintained on) computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
In fact your data never leave your physical device, these are always stored locally.
Disclosure of Data
We will never disclose your personal data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary. Basically because we haven’t implemented a mechanism to accomplish such actions, so we aren’t able to do it even in a legal requirement.
Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
But in this case your are safe, your data is always stored in your local device. Navstar only access to the Internet in order to obtain the weather temperature, the UV (Ultraviolet) Index or to send (in case of error) an anonymous report in order to improve the stability of the application and logically to solve the issue more quickly.
Retention and Deletion of Data
We don’t retain any data. The user is able of deleting all of the stored data at any moment. Previously switching to the History tab:
- The user can delete a saved hike at any moment, just by making a left-swipe over the corresponding cell and selecting Delete.
- The user can delete all of the saved hikes at once, just by touching the trashcan located at the top left.
- The user can delete all of the saved hikes at once, by choosing to uninstall the application, all data will be eliminated.
We don’t employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our service.
Navstar is a one-time payment application, so we don’t provide paid products and / or services within Navstar.
